The Sharks have rediscovered their form and came out convincing winners over the Angels at home. Several community members came out to cheer the Angels who fought bravely to please their fan. However, they seemed to lack organization in attack and could only muster 6 pts courtesy of Prop Noel Williams (22min) and a penalty conversion by Robert Rodney.
Arville Lord takes the attack to the Angels
The Sharks paced themselves well with a brace from winger Kevin Leslie (4th and 32nd min). The impressive Leslie was almost made to eat a part of the zinc fence bordering the field as he dove in for his first try. Forwards Jermaine Wilks, Damion Smith, Peter Tapper and Khareem Jhagroo all went over for trys as the Sharks pack dominated their opposition. Leslie was unfortunate not to earn his hat trick as he went over the line three other times but was denied by the referee for various infringements. Full back Kemoy whyte had an excellent game as he made timely runs up the middle to start the majority of Sharks counterattacks. Jermaine Pinnock played at Hooker and Andre Reid went to scrum half as Calvert is out with a minor injury. All game Pinnock went to his left and ignored the right, rumour is his right side pass is extremely weak. This is something the team will have to improve on as they face the Warriors at Up Park camp on Jul 18.
